Our scholarship program helps low-income students (based on socioeconomic studies conducted by USB) and with an excellent academic record (measured based on the GPA and progress of their degree).
The Teaching Award arises from the importance of academic excellence and the dedication of USB professors. Circumstances such as the exodus and low salaries have motivated us to create a recognition for those who strive to educate future generations of professionals in Venezuela.
USB is facing a crisis of accessibility and physical presence on its campus. Many students, staff, and faculty struggle to get to the two campuses due to fuel shortages, lack of own vehicles, and intermittent university transportation.
Higher education institutions, and in particular Universidad Simón Bolívar, have suffered due to the economic crisis, with budget cuts affecting infrastructure and operations. The most visible reduction is USB’s inability to maintain its infrastructure at 100%.
