Luis received his Degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the Simon Bolívar University in 1996, and Master of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut, USA in 2002. He is also a Project Management Professional, Risk Management Professional and Subject Matter Expert certified by the Project Management Institute, USA. During his studies at USB he was a very active student representative as Sport Coordinator and Collaborator of the Production Engineering Student Union.

Luis is a Business Executive with over 20-year experience, including 15 years in the oil industry, with core competence in Business Development, Project Management (PMP), Oil and Gas field development, Technical-Economic Feasibility Studies, Oil and Gas Reserve Consolidation, and Project Risk Analysis (RMP).

As the founder of the company BRASVEN ENERGY, he has helped organizations pave the way for doing businesses in several oil and gas markets in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia and some other Latin American countries.  With his core competences, strong networking with the oil and gas industry leadership throughout Latin America and knowledge of the top oil & gas production projects in Brazil, including projects for the pre-Salt, he has developed strategic initiatives for the development of Upstream and Downstream projects and distribution of oil and gas products in areas of South America. Over the years in companies like PETROBRAS, he also participated in EOR, Infill Drilling Campaign, Gas Processing Plant, offshore gas field, onshore heavy oil fields and power generation projects from the oil and gas industry with multiple market players throughout Latin America.
